EGGER Wood Products will host an Apprenticeship Information Event for High School students and parents at 6:00pm on Tuesday May 15th at the Rittling Conference Center at Davidson County Community College. EGGER will present their four year Apprenticeship Training Program and outline the requirements and benefits of applying for the EGGER Apprenticeship Program.

The State of NC developed the STEM School of Distinction program to identify and recognize exemplary STEM schools and STEM programs. Schools recognized under the Model Level of Achievement go even further by systemically interweaving science, technology, engineering and mathematics into complimentary coursework in the arts, career and technical education, English language arts, healthful living and world history.
Davidson County Schools Career and Technical Education (CTE) NCDPI Core Performance Indicators
CTE is measured on federal guidelines requiring each CTE Program to use certain quantitative measures to monitor the quality of the program. Performance Indicator 2S1 - Technical Skill Attainment, is arguably the most key indicator of quality. Davidson County Schools met ALL Core Performance Indicators based on Perkins Federal Guidelines. Austin Dillon, grandson of Richard Childress and driving the #3 car, won the 60th running of the Daytona 500 - 20 years after Dale Earnhardt took the RCR #3 to victory lane. Richard Childress Racing is Headquartered in Davidson County and operates from a campus in Welcome, NC.
